So in great teacher fashion, I ask Kendra everyday what she learned at school and her favorite part of the day... so far so good, here are the latest.
8/20/09 "Mom! I learned the Pledge of Allegiance ... whose Justice? Was he a president?" (I love that there is a Social Studies focus in her class!)
8/21/09- I am dropping Kendra off at school and walk her down to the playground where the kids run around like wild animals until the whistle blows to line up and go to class. We walk down and set her backpack and lunchbox down in her class line. Kendra looks up at me, hands on hips and says, "okay MOM!" Confused I ask her what she means. "My friends are all here, you can go to work now!" and then starts to trot away. She's still young enough I was able to get a hug and kiss before she darted to a sea of pink little girls to play with. I'm glad she is adjusting well and loves school! Little Miss Confident Kendra!
She is growing up so fast!
